Xavier Academy Model United Nations — Nepal's pioneering, fully residential, student-led international MUN, empowering delegates to debate, collaborate, and lead since 2017.

Launched in 2017, XAMUN was the first international high school-level Model United Nations in Nepal. What began as a bold idea at Xavier Academy in Lazimpat has grown into one of the country's most respected platforms for youth diplomacy.
For nearly a decade, XAMUN has served as a premier forum for diplomatic discussion — a journey shaped by the invaluable contributions of delegates from across the globe. Year after year, students step into the roles of world leaders, researching real issues, negotiating across divides, and drafting resolutions that reflect genuine global cooperation.

XAMUN is more than committee sessions and placards. It is an immersive experience that empowers young individuals to voice bold ideas, build confidence, and cultivate the skills needed to address real-world problems.
Guided by our enduring mascot — the One-Horned Rhino, a symbol of strength, resilience, and determination — every delegate becomes part of a larger community: a network of youth motivated to create meaningful change long after the conference ends.
To engage high school students in meaningful global discussions, fostering diplomacy and leadership skills in a diverse and inclusive environment.
To inspire and empower the next generation of global leaders through a premier Model United Nations experience.
To provide an exceptional, inclusive, and high-quality MUN conference that equips delegates with the insights, connections, and skills to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
As the only fully residential, student-led international MUN in Nepal, XAMUN offers an experience unmatched by other events.
With all delegates accommodated on-site, diplomacy continues well beyond committee hours — deeper discussion, stronger collaboration, and genuine connections day conferences can't replicate.
Organized entirely by students, XAMUN upholds procedural rigor, professionalism, and dignified debate — setting a benchmark for high school MUNs in the region.
Delegates have travelled from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, the UK, Germany, France, Kenya, and beyond — enriching every committee with diverse perspectives.
From Global Village Night to the Diplomatic Dinner and Gala, XAMUN blends rigorous committee work with unforgettable cultural and social experiences.

A look at the debates, the diplomacy, and the friendships that define the XAMUN experience.
